-Manage and maintain the terminal and oil jetty to meet the quality and safety standards as set down by the client's terminal operating policies and procedures
-Responsible for ensuring, that all activities carried out in the terminal, and tanker jetty areas, are undertaken in a safe and environmentally correct manner, and to strive for zero accidents and near misses. Manage operations in compliance with our client's Terminal Operating Policies and Procedure-Comprehensive knowledge of cargo operations planning for dry cargoes and oil terminals including stevedore operations of a multi cargo port.
-Thorough knowledge of port operations contracts and experience in managing port labour.
-Thorough knowledge of port safety, accident prevention codes, regulations and marine industry governmental regulationsrelated to ports.
-Considerable knowledge of the management and commercial use of dock areas, warehouse facilities and terminals.
-To ensure that all equipment is maintained in proper condition and that the terminal/jetty is able to respond to any emergency as required
1 Month overhauling a plant, was responsible for:
a) safety of personnel. b) safety of contractor staff. c) Equipment's being used by technicians. d) reporting safe or unsafe acts or either conditions. e) counselling in areas that have safety legging behind.
